Issue questions

· What are the most important issues facing your community and how do you intend to address them?

1. Economic development of Town Center, Chase Plaza, and Dundee Road vacancies. This would include investing time and effort in searching for private investment to assist in the re-development of said locations.

2. Taxation: I intend to prevent any increase in taxation, including preventing the village to use a TIF to potentially increase taxes on our residents.

3. Green Space: As the village continues to expand and develop, I am a strong advocate to maintain the green spaces.

· What makes you the best candidate for the job?

Not only was I a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals, I currently work with property management companies as an attorney for a retail mall chain company. While I served on the board of directors for the Jewish Counsel of Youth Services (JCYS), I learned the importance of community and helping others.

· Describe your leadership style and explain how you think that will be effective in producing actions and decisions with your village board.

As a leader, it may be necessary to use eminent domain to assist in developing dormant properties. In addition, I am a strong advocate for community pride and support activities that foster cohesion and cooperation.

· How would you describe the condition of your community's budget, and what are the most important specific actions the town should take to assure providing the level of services people want?

When the village increase its tax revenue from economic development, I believe the community should first utilize the funds to ensure police, fire, and basic village/municipal obligations are provided. After the village uses fiscal responsibility in spending, issues like the elderly and youth services should be examined.

· What's one good idea you have to better the community that no one is talking about yet?

I have several concepts for economic development in structures already existing: either a facility similar to Joy of the Game that can service our youth in athletic activities, or possibly Last Chance (Nordstrom's return items).
