Waukegan school music fest:
Bravo Waukegan, a Lake Forest-based nonprofit organization supporting music education in Waukegan Unit District 60 schools, will sponsor the Waukegan Middle School Music Festival on Wednesday and Thursday, April 10 and 11, at 6 p.m. The free festival is open to the public and will take place at the historic Genesee Theatre, 203 N. Genesee St., Waukegan. More than 1,000 students will participate in the festival, which features performances by choir, band and orchestra students. April 10 will feature choir performances, and April 11 will feature band and orchestra performances. Bravo's office is at the Gorton Community Center, 400 E. Illinois, Lake Forest.
