Auditions for Boomers' national anthem singers April 6

Members of the public will have the opportunity to showcase their musical talents as they vie for the chance to perform in front of thousands by singing the national anthem at Schaumburg Boomers games this upcoming season.

Auditions are set from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 6, at Boomers Stadium, 1999 Springinsguth Road in Schaumburg.

Individuals and small performance groups will have the opportunity to perform the anthem in front of a judging panel with hopes of being selected to the Boomers' pregame talent lineup.

The audition is open to all ages, but performers under 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian. Participants are encouraged to bring a performance resume if available, and all contestants must perform the anthem in its entirety to be considered.

The Boomers' 2019 season begins May 10. The home opener is Tuesday, May 14 vs. the Washington Wild Things.
