Enjoy Lake County's biggest St. Patrick's Day Parade March 16 in Lake Villa

The village of Lake Villa's annual St. Patrick's Day Parade and Luncheon is set for Saturday, March 16.

The parade kicks off at noon from Palombi School, 133 McKinley Ave., and ends on Cedar Avenue at the Train Station. Lineup starts at 10:30 a.m. Attendance is free.

The largest event of its kind in Lake County, the parade always features dozens of entries representing school groups, bands, Scouting groups, businesses and more.

After the parade, everyone is invited to the Lake Villa VFW, 130 Grand Ave., Lake Villa, for the village's Corned Beef and Cabbage Luncheon. Corned beef and cabbage meals are $9 for adults, $7 for ages 65 and older and 12 and younger. And hot dog and chips will be available for $4.

Guests are invited to help fill a caboose with food for the Lake Villa Township Food Pantry. Donations will be accepted along the parade route and at the VFW.
