Issue questions
What are the most important issues facing your library district and how do you intend to address them?
One of the issues I wanna focus is creating programs that will help build relationships within a family where communication will be stronger as well as relationships with friends, and everyday life.
Why are you running for office? Is there a particular issue that motivates you? If so, what is it?
Good question why am I running, its because Gail Borden Library has blessed me with opening a world of possibilities for me to discover. There was a time in my life like many whose faith in themselves has been shaken. But Gail Borden introduce me to people as well as books and programs that help open up my leadership potential. So pretty much I want to follow the motto and pay it forward to the future so the next generation needs something positive or even relate to, they can see my background and others.
If you are an incumbent, describe your main contributions. Tell us of important initiatives you've led. If you are a non-incumbent, tell us what contributions you would make.
I'm not an incumbent, however what I can bring to the library board is a new perspective I have within the civic committees that I am involve with or was in the past.
Do you have a library card? How long have you had it? How often do you use it?
Yes I have one for 11 years and use it weekly
What impact have economic and technological changes had on libraries? How does a library remain relevant? How should its role in the community change?
I believe that both economic and technological changes are helping the library grow more each day. More and more programs are being created to assist many in daily life an as well as open horizons, one of its greatest success this year in my opinion was the Bookmobile which help brings families together. As far as the role of the library it shows a great strength in leadership to our city by opening doors that not a lot people didn't know can be reached
