Prospect Heights 1st Ward alderman resigns
Prospect Heights 1st Ward Alderman Lora Messer has resigned, effective Feb. 28. She is moving to Ward 2 and no longer meets the requirements to serve. Michelle Cameron is the only candidate who filed to run for the seat in the April 2 municipal election. Messer announced her resignation at the Feb. 25 city council meeting, where she was presented with a proclamation along with a service award honoring her service to the community.
