Vote by mail registration period open
Registered Lake County voters can now apply to request a ballot by mail for the April 2 election, Lake County Clerk Robin M. O'Connor announced this week. There are several ways to begin voting by mail, including completing the steps online at LakeVoterPower.info. You also can call (847) 377-2406 or email your name and address to votingbymail@lakecountyil.gov to begin the process. Voting by mail is especially helpful for snowbirds, students away at school and couch potatoes, O'Connor said in a news release. "You only need to walk as far as your mailbox to cast your ballot," she said. Applications are due before noon March 28.
