Meeting March 6 on Cypress area upgrades in Arlington Heights

A neighborhood meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, to discuss the upcoming stormwater, street rehab and water main project near Cypress Park in Arlington Heights.

Village officials, design engineers and the project's general contractor will explain the project, which will kick off this spring in an area bounded by Arlington Heights Road, Ridge Avenue, Magnolia Street and Noyes Street. The meeting will be held in Room 120 of the Arlington Heights Elementary District 25 administration building, 1200 S. Dunton Ave. Organizers have asked that attendance be limited to two per household.

Last week, the village board approved $7.1 million worth of contracts for the upgrades that are scheduled to be done by the end of the year - a quicker timeline than originally planned to reduce the inconvenience to the residents and provide lower inspection and construction costs, village officials said.
