Warrenville police searching for armed robber

Warrenville police are searching for a man who robbed a business at gunpoint Tuesday.

Police officers were dispatched to the 3S000 block of Route 59 shortly before 10 p.m. Tuesday.


The victim told investigators that a black man holding a handgun demanded money at the close of the business day, police said. After taking cash, the man left on foot. Police say man was described as in his 20s and about 5 feet 6 inches tall. He was wearing dark pants, a dark jacket with the hood up and a black scarf across the lower half of his face, police said.

Police obtained surveillance video that possibly shows the thief running from the scene. The video is available at https://bit.ly/2V8TLLq.
