Inmate charged with trying to hire hitman from Lake County jail

A 45-year-old Chicago man incarcerated in the Lake County jail has been accused of trying to hire a hitman to kill a witness.

Ade Tramble, of the 6300 block of North Hermitage Avenue, began communicating in December with an undercover officer with the Lake County Sheriff's Gang Task Force who he thought was a hitman, authorities said. Tramble was in jail awaiting trial on charges of home invasion, unlawful restraint and domestic battery out of Zion.

Sheriff's police say Tramble attempted to hire someone to kill a person expected to testify against him. He was charged Feb. 19 with one count of felony solicitation of murder for hire. He remains in the Lake County jail on $500,000 bail and is due in court March 14.
