Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital's Health and Fitness Center near Lake Barrington will host its third annual Indoor Sprint Triathlon on March 3.

Held in memory of Jon Carlino, a 29-year-old personal trainer from Algonquin who died unexpectedly in 2017, the event includes a 10-minute swim, 20-minute bicycle ride and 15-minute run with timed transitions between each leg.

The competitor with the greatest total distance in the three events will win. Medals will be awarded for age-group winners and overall champions. Space is limited to 100 participants and race-day registration will be closed if full.

Contact David Yonco for more information at (847) 620-4580 or Visit to register. The event's prices vary.
