Hinaber returns to Mount Prospect library board

The Mount Prospect Public Library board of trustees has appointed Jackie Hinaber to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of former trustee Dale Barbara Draznin.

Hinaber, who will serve until Draznin's term expires in 2021, previously served on the board from 1987 to 2011. The board will be recruiting a new executive director this spring and Hinaber has had experience with the process, having chaired the search committee for the current director. "Jackie is dedicated and passionate about libraries and what they can do for the community and its residents," Executive Director Marilyn Genther said in an announcement of the appointment.

Hinaber has stayed involved with the library, serving on the foundation board and volunteering when needed for other activities, even serving as Mrs. Claus at the Teddy Bear Walk.
