Judicial post available in 19th Circuit

The chief judge of the 19th Judicial Circuit announced a judicial vacancy due to the retirement of Judge John J. Scully, effective March 1. Applications are now being accepted for the vacancy, which will be filled by vote of the circuit judges of the 19th Judicial Circuit. Any U.S. citizen who is a licensed attorney in Illinois and a resident of the circuit may apply electronically through a signed application with the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts director. The instructions are available at illinoiscourts.gov. All filings are due on Feb. 19. The list of applicants will be submitted to the Lake County Bar Association to begin the interview process.
