Hanover Township offers free tax preparation

Hanover Township and volunteers from AARP are offering free tax preparation at the township's Izaak Walton Center, 899 Jay St., in Elgin. Appointments are required and are scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Appointments will not be scheduled after April 2.

Participants are asked to pick up the necessary documentation prior to their appointment at the Township Senior Center, 240 S. Route 59, in Bartlett. All returns will be filed electronically and printouts will be given to each participant for their records.

All clients will need to complete a health screening and temperature check before their appointment. Clients will also need to wear a face-covering while in the building.
