Share your Schaumburg photos with the community

A new program called "Schaumburg Snapshot" launched by the village allows members of the public to share photos showcasing why they enjoy the community.

The program is open to everyone who can upload photos to the village's website at www.bitly.com/schaumburgsnapshot. Entries can range from still shots of landscapes or architecture to people taking part in community activities.

There is no cost to submit a photo and participants can upload as many photos as they wish. The program will run indefinitely, so photographers can share their favorite images year-round.

Photos could be chosen for inclusion in village communications such as printed publications, social media channels and the Schaumburg website.

Photos should be in the JPEG file format and submitted using the village website's online form. Hard copies of photos won't be accepted. High-resolution, landscape images are preferred, but vertical images also will be accepted.

The main requirements are that the photos be taken within the village of Schaumburg and be in good taste.

For details, contact the village's Communications Manager Allison Albrecht at aalbrecht@schaumburg.com.
