Gunman robs Gurnee Pizza Hut

Gurnee police are searching for a man who robbed a Pizza Hut at gunpoint Monday evening.

Officers were dispatched to the Pizza Hut on the 5300 block of Route 132 just before 7 p.m. Employees said a masked man pointed a black handgun at them and demanded money, according to Gurnee police news release Tuesday evening.

The gunman fled east after the robbery. Police found some of the cash and other items that belonged to the gunman nearby, but he has not been found. Police did not say exactly how much money was stolen.
