District 62 kindergarten registration begins Feb. 5

Des Plaines Elementary School District 62 will hold kindergarten registration for the 2019-2020 school year from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 5, at all elementary schools.

Parents should go to the school in their home attendance area to register their child. Kindergarten students who will enter District 62 for the 2019-2020 school year must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1.

To register, parents or guardians must bring the child's original birth certificate and proof of residence in District 62. Parents can apply to the county clerk in the county where their child was born to receive a copy of the birth certificate. Registration forms, immunization requirements and other materials will be distributed at each school. Registration materials will not be mailed.
