Two men sought after Beach Park shooting
Two men are being sought after shots fired at a Beach Park residence late Friday slightly wounded one person, the Lake County sheriff's office said in a news release.
The victim, a 21-year-old Beach Park man, was taken to a hospital, where he was treated and released.
About 11:15 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a residence on the 12900 block of West Wakefield Drive. The preliminary investigation found the homeowner was having a party when two uninvited men arrived.
The uninvited men were asked to leave and they became belligerent. They were escorted outside but returned a short time later and began shooting at the home from the outside, the news release said. One of the rounds struck the victim.
The two men were described as black males in their 20s. One was tall with an Afro-style haircut, wearing a red jacket, while the other had dreadlocks and was wearing a white sweatshirt, according to the release.
Deputies and detectives continue to investigate the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's office at (847) 549-5200 or Lake County Crime Stoppers at (847) 662-2222.
