Contested elections in Bartlett, Hanover Park, Streamwood

Two additional candidates each filed for the offices of village trustee in Bartlett and Hanover Park before Monday's deadline.

The two new Bartlett hopefuls are Columbus Montgomery and Balwinder Chhokar-Sahota. They join the field of incumbents Ray Deyne, Adam J. Hopkins and Kristina Gabrenya, as well as newcomer Guy J. Papa, in the race for three available seats.

In Hanover Park, Fanny Y. Lopez Benitez and Roberto Sepulveda filed their candidacies for three open seats a week after incumbents James Kemper, Jon Kunkel and Herb Porter filed their re-election bids.

As previously reported, former Streamwood candidate Rezwanul Haque has filed again for trustee, making a contested race with incumbents James P. Cecille, Larry Schmidt and Mary F. Thon.
