District 102 board president corrects filing error

Editor's Note: To clarify, an error by the person who filed Ellyn Ross' paperwork placed Ross in the Stevenson High School District 125 race.

A candidate who earlier this week filed to run for the Lincolnshire-based Stevenson High School District 125 board is instead running for a seat on the Aptakisic-Tripp School District 102 board, according to the Lake County clerk's office.

Ellyn Ross, who is the president of the Buffalo Grove-based District 102 board, will seek re-election to that panel. An error by the person who filed Ross' paperwork placed her in the District 125 race.

Ross is one of two candidates for three seats on the District 102 board. The other is fellow incumbent Marnie Slavin Masur.

The change leaves four candidates for four seats on the District 125 board. All four candidates - David Weisberg, Terry C. Moons, Heena Agrawal and Amy Neault - are incumbents. The filing deadline for school board candidates running in the April 2019 election is Monday.
