No one injured in fire in Naperville Monday night

A fire that damaged a two-story, multifamily building on the 1100 block of Tennyson Lane in Naperville remains under investigation, authorities said.

Firefighters were dispatched to the area at about 8:19 a.m. for a report of smoke inside one of the units, authorities said.

Fire was discovered in the basement and extinguished by firefighters, officials said.

No one was injured in the blaze, officials said. One resident was checked out by paramedics at the scene, but was not taken to the hospital.

No firefighters were injured in the fire, officials said.

After the fire was extinguished, the unit was deemed uninhabitable by city inspectors. People in nearby units were allowed back into their homes.

The cause of the fire remains unknown at this time.

The Naperville Fire Department was assisted on the scene by the Naperville Police Department. the Warrenville Fire Protection District, and the Bolingbrook Fire Department. Aurora Fire Department provided coverage for Naperville fire stations during this incident.
