Oakton guitar and string performance Wednesday

Oakton Community College's Guitar and String Ensembles will join forces for an evening of music at "Dancing in the Snow," 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, in the college's Footlik Theater, 1600 E. Golf Road.

Oakton's Guitar Ensemble is led by Yale School of Music alumnus Tom Clippert, also a classical and jazz guitar instructor at Oakton. Oakton's String Ensemble is directed by Daniel Golden, instructor of music and noted violist. Members of the Oakton Chorus will join the String Ensemble in a pair of seasonal pieces directed by their conductor, Sara Torbeck.

A preconcert "Take Note Conversation" at 7:30 p.m. in Oakton's Performing Arts Center lobby will take attendees inside the music.
