Suburban residents dig out Monday after heavy snow wreaked havoc throughout the suburbs, causing school closures, dangerous road conditions and hundreds of flight cancellations.
"It's heavier than I thought it would be," said Andrew Specter of South Elgin as he shovels his neighbor's driveway in South Elgin Monday.
