Winter wetland botany
Winter wetland botany workshops will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, and Saturday, Dec. 1, at Volo Bog State Natural Area on Brandenburg, west of Route 12 in Ingleside. The workshop with naturalist Stacy Iwanicki starts indoors with a self-paced exploration of herbarium specimens followed by lunch and then a trek outside. The program is geared for serious botany students or others aged 11 and older just getting into plants. Group size is limited and the program may be canceled if registration is not met 48 hours in advance.
