We'd like to share your holiday pictures

You don't need a calendar to know it's the hap-happiest time of the year.

Santa is setting up shop in the malls. Sleigh bells are ringing. Toys are on display everywhere. Holiday greens are on sale in nurseries. The start of Hanukkah is right around the corner. Heck, it snowed already.

We'd like to share this holiday season with you and, with that in mind, we're asking you to submit some of your favorite holiday season photos - taken this year, please - for us to run on our website and also in print on Thursday, Dec. 20.

Maybe it's from a community tree-lighting ceremony or from festivities at local park districts and museums. Maybe it's of kids building a snowman or of dad hanging the holly or from your place of worship.

It's simple, really. Just send your images in .jpg format to photos@dailyherald.com. Be sure to include your name, town, a daytime phone number (not for publication) and a brief description of why you like the picture, when and where you took it, and who's in it.

Please make sure to send a high-quality image that will reproduce well on both the web and in print.

We'll need your photos by noon Wednesday, Dec. 12.

Thanks in advance and, if you have any questions, please write to Bev Horne at bhorne@dailyherald.com.

Happy holidays!
