Buffalo Grove police charge three men in home burglary

Buffalo Grove police have charged three men for their roles in a home burglary on Friday, according to a news release issued Tuesday.

Pablo Martinez, 26, of Franklin Park, Oscar Peralta, 22, of Chicago, and Jaime A. Jaime, 32, of Cicero, each were arrested and charged with one count of residential burglary, which is a felony.

The three men were spotted by Buffalo Grove police officers on Friday as they exited a home on the 600 block of Buckthorn Terrace, according to reports. The men drove away in a black Dodge Charger, and police pulled them over and arrested them. reports said.

Buffalo Grove police were told that there was a home burglary going on at the address by members of the North Regional Major Crimes Task Force, which has been working for months to figure out who is behind a string of home burglaries. Buffalo Grove police said they found property in the men's vehicle, and investigators are working to identify where the items came from and return them to their rightful owners.

"The time and commitment investigators put forth paid off and will make Buffalo Grove and the surrounding areas safer," Buffalo Grove Investigations Commander Tom Reed said.

According to the news release, police expect to charge the men with more crimes later. Martinez, Peralta and Jaime are being held at Lake County jail and will be before a judge on November 26.
