No one struck by gunfire after Elgin argument

After getting into an argument and driving away from a parking lot in the 1000 block of Summit St. in Elgin, two individuals met again at the intersection of Summit St. and Waverly Dr. when one of them fired their weapon, according to a news release from the Elgin Police Department.

No one was struck by gunfire, but one individual sustained a non life-threatening injury and was taken to a local hospital, the release said.

Detectives are speaking with all involved and the investigation is still ongoing, according to the release.
