Gurnee students get ready for their close-ups

Fourth- and fifth-grade students at Woodland Intermediate School in Gurnee held a dress rehearsal Thursday for their fall production of "Folk Tales for Fun."

The play by Carlos Perez features stories from around the world with morals and lessons everyone can relate to.

Performances will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, in the multipurpose room of the school, 1115 N. Hunt Club Road, Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets cost $5 for adults. Children 12 and younger are admitted for free.

A bake sale will be held during intermission, with all proceeds from the sale and the performance benefiting the Woodland Intermediate Drama Fund.
