Martini wins again in Lake County District 5

Incumbent Judy Martini, a 66-year-old Republican from Fox Lake, beat 64-year-old Democrat Casimir Kwiatkowski from Volo to win re-election to Lake County Board District 5, unofficial election results show.
With all 22 precincts and early votes reported late Tuesday, Martini took in 6,680 total votes for 58 percent of the majority votes, while Kwiatkowski received 4,909 total votes for 42 percent vote.
The votes are not considered official until they are canvassed at a later date.
This is Martini's second tenure on the Lake County Board. She previously served 14 years on the board in District 1.
