Hawthorn Woods is hosting Hometown Holiday

Hawthorn Woods is hosting its inaugural Hometown Holiday event from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Community Park, at North Old McHenry Road and Quentin Road. The event is replacing the tree lighting previously held in the village barn. At the Hometown Holiday event, children can visit with Santa in a North Pole tent. Horse drawn wagon rides, an inflatable obstacle course, mini train rides, games and more are among the attractions. The event will culminate with the tree lighting to kick off the holiday season.
