Youth mental health training available in Lake County
Members of the public who work with youth 12 to 18 years old are encouraged to attend a Youth Mental Health First Aid Training session Thursday, Nov. 15, at the Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center.
The session takes place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the third floor of the center, 3010 Grand Ave. in Waukegan.
The public education program is designed to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills to identify and support adolescents that are at risk or displaying warning signs of mental health/substance use problems or experiencing a mental health crisis.
