Libertyville High students get ready to perform 'Pippin'

Theater students from Highland Middle School and Oak Grove Middle School in Libertyville got a sneak peek Wednesday at their older peers' upcoming performances of "Pippin."

Libertyville High School's Fine and Performing Arts Department will perform the show based on Stephen Schwartz's Broadway musical at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the school theater.

The musical is about a journey of self-discovery which unfolds as the ensemble of traveling circus performers help the title character, Pippin. Various teaching artists have been working with the cast to incorporate acrobatics, magic tricks, illusions and circus skills into the show.

Tickets are $4 for students and $5 for adults. For advanced tickets, visit seatyourself.biz.
