Tickets available for 'The Magic of the Nutcracker' at Genesee Theatre

Celebrate the holiday season when "The Magic of the Nutcracker" comes to the Genesee Theatre in Waukegan.

Online presale tickets for the Saturday, Dec. 8, shows at 1 and 5 p.m. are available from 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, until 10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, with the code GENESEE. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, Oct. 19, at 10 a.m.

Dancenter North's performance of "The Magic of the Nutcracker" is billed as the largest, most lavish production in Lake County. The 30th anniversary performance features more than 100 performers, elaborate sets and Tchaikovsky's score.

Favorites include "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy," "Waltz of the Flowers," "March of the Nutcracker" and "Dance of the Mirlitons."

Tickets range from $15 to $36 plus service charges. Tickets are available by visiting the Genesee Theatre Box Office, Ticketmaster.com and Ticketmaster charge by phone at (800) 982-2787.
