Color Run features different kinds of Bears

When you see a bear at the zoo, it's usually brown, black or white.

But those passing by Lake Zurich High School on Sunday were apt to see yellow, blue, orange and even pink "Bears" running nearby.

Those Bears were participants on the third annual Bears on a Color Run, a fundraiser for the School District 95 Educational Foundation. Runners taking part in the fundraising trot passed through five stations where they were doused in colorful powders, leaving them virtual rainbows by the time they finished the roughly 1-mile course.

The Foundation partners with the community, businesses and parents to provide additional educational resources for district schools.
