Schaumburg Park District receives accreditation

The Schaumburg Park District has earned recognition through the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA) and the National Recreation and Park Association. This accomplishment was awarded during the 2018 association's annual conference in Indianapolis.

CAPRA accreditation is a measure of an agency's overall quality of operation, management and service to the community. It indicates an agency has met rigorous standards related to the management and administration of lands, facilities, resources, programs, safety and services.

"We are extremely proud to receive CAPRA accreditation," Tony LaFrenere, executive director, said in a news release. "Our board of park commissioners and staff are committed to enhancing the quality of life in Schaumburg and this achievement is a testament to that dedication."
