Child hit by vehicle in Elk Grove Village
A child riding a bicycle was struck by a vehicle about 5 p.m. Monday, according to Elk Grove Fire Department Lt. Matt Bonilla.
The slow-moving car was traveling east on Biesterfield Road and turned south onto Arlington Heights Road when it struck the child, Bonilla said.
The child was taken to the hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.
