Toys for Tots dinner Oct. 12 in Rolling Meadows

The 11th annual Toys for Tots dinner sponsored by the Northwest Suburban Marine Corps League, Detachment 80, is set for 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, at Meridian Banquets, 1701 Algonquin Road in Rolling Meadows.

The event is a fundraiser for the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots Campaign of Chicagoland, which last year delivered about 100,000 toys to children in need across the region. No child's request went unfulfilled, according to the campaign.

The dinner is $45 per person, plus a new unwrapped toy (no stuffed animals). Reservations and payment, which are due by Oct. 4, can be mailed to Mike Huttner, Commandant, Northwest Suburban Marine Corps League, Detachment 80, 235 Chase Circle, Saint Charles, IL 60174-5777.
