Mundelein Park District hosts Doggy Trick-or-Treat Oct. 13

The Mundelein Park District will host its inaugural Doggy Trick-or-Treat event from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at Community Park, 1401 N. Midlothian Road, Mundelein.

Families and all friendly, leashed dogs are welcome to the free "howl-o-ween" event. There will be a dog costume contest e with prizes in a variety of categories, such as cutest, scariest and funniest.

Other highlights include bobbing for weenies, an agility course, hide-and-go treat and digging in the boneyard.

Many pet-related businesses will be on hand for doggy trick or treating and food for people will be available for purchase from Killer Zombie Dogz.

Placing Paws and Save a Pet adoption agencies also will be on hand.
