'A Walk in the Park' to see artists' work in Arlington Hts.

Warm, sunny weather and a chance to view the work of dozens of top local and regional artists made for a great "Walk in the Park" on Sunday at North School Park in Arlington Heights.

The park played host to the 47th annual fine art show put on by the Arlington Heights Art Guild. The free show featured more than 80 artists displaying works in numerous media, including oils, watercolors, acrylics, pastels, colored pencil, pen and ink, photography, jewelry, woodcraft, pottery and fabric art.

When they were done browsing the works of the professionals with their parents, kids could create their own masterpieces or visit the playground. Visitors also could stop to listen to a classical guitarist or enjoy ice cream and other sweets.
