Incoming Mundelein High freshmen prepare for start of school

Summer break is all but over for Mundelein High School students, as the Class of 2022 went through new student orientation Wednesday.

Members of the Link Crew, a group of Mundelein High students, gave tours and guided the freshmen through the orientation process. The Link Crew, now in its eighth year, is a nationwide freshman transition program with members assisting the new students throughout the year.

After participating in an interactive greeting and meeting their Link Crew member, freshmen received their schedules, had their student ID photos taken, ate a free lunch and received their Chromebook computers. The computers will be used by the students through their senior year.

First day of classes for all Mundelein High students is Monday, Aug. 13.
