It was opening day for the DuPage County Fair in Wheaton and the Lake County Fair in Grayslake. Fairgoers ate lots of funnel cakes and corn dogs, talked to pageant queens, watched livestock judging, thrilled on carnival rides and took in the farm experience of county fairs. The Show-Me Swine Races and Canine in the Clouds dog tricks were also part of the fun in DuPage County.
