One person injured in Streamwood townhouse fire

One person was injured in a fire at a townhouse complex in Streamwood Wednesday.

Firefighters from the Streamwood Fire Department said fire was showing from the rear of the complex when they arrived at the Jamestown Court blaze at 7:16 p.m., authorities said in a news release.

One occupant in the townhouse received minor burns, but refused transport to the hospital, authorities said. The person was treated by paramedics at the scene, authorities said.

Two families were displaced due to damages caused by the blaze in the eight unit structure.

Authorities estimate the blaze caused about $100,000 in damages.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined and is under investigation, authorities said.
