Damselflies flutter near the surface of a creek on the Sanfilippo Estate in Barrington Hills recently. I waded in the creek with Barrington Area Conservation Trust members and high school interns who were monitoring the creek with Shedd Aquarium professionals. I held the camera at water level, looking at the flip out LED screen, with a prefocused 200 mm lens. This photo was published in the Perspective column in the print edition of the Daily Herald.
