Glendale Heights celebrates at annual fest

Glendale Heights knows how to throw a party.

Anybody who has ever visited the Glendale Heights Fest grounds in Camera Park along Fullerton Avenue knows that.

The five-day celebration, which continues through Sunday, features plenty of music, mechanical bull rides, bingo, carnival rides, food and, yes, fireworks that will help close the bash on Sunday evening.

The timing of the annual event is no accident: the village was incorporated on July 13, 1959.

Admission to the fest is free. Visit glendaleheightsfest.com for details.
