Public hearing June 28 on Ela-Long Grove intersection improvement plan

The Lake County Division of Transportation is hosting a public hearing for the Intersection Improvement Study of Ela Road and Long Grove Road in Barrington and Deer Park.

The hearing is scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 28, at Village Church of Barrington, 1600 E. Main St., in Barrington. It is the third and final public meeting about the study.

The purpose of the hearing is to present the preferred alternative for the proposed intersection improvement and gather feedback from the public. The study was initiated to address intersection safety, existing capacity and pedestrian and bicyclist accommodations in the project area.

During the meeting, the project study team will provide an update on the Phase I Study progress, schedule and public involvement activities, as well as introduce the design of the preferred alternative.
