Partial closing of Old McHenry Road in Long Grove June 25

The Lake County Division of Transportation will partially close Old McHenry Road in Long Grove to through traffic beginning at 6 a.m. Monday June 25, as part of a road reconstruction and intersection improvement project at Robert Parker Coffin Road.

The closure is expected to last until November, but businesses in downtown Long Grove will remain open during the project.

A detour will take traffic on Route 22 to Route 83 to Route 53. Local traffic to downtown Long Grove will have access on Old McHenry Road from Route 22 an Route 53. Old McHenry Road will only accommodate one-way traffic between Robert Parker Coffin Road and Archer Road.

Southbound local traffic on Old McHenry Road will have access between Robert Parker Coffin Road and Archer Road. Northbound Old McHenry Road will be closed to all traffic from Archer Road to Robert Parker Coffin Road. The detour for northbound local traffic on Old McHenry Road will be Archer Road north to Robert Parker Coffin Road.
