New Lake County finance director
Libertyville Finance Director Patrice Sutton will be hired as the director of finance and administrative service in Lake County effective July 9, replacing Gary Gordon who resigned last April. Sutton has 17 years in government finance experience serving as deputy finance director for Lake County from 2010 to 2016 before taking the post in Libertyville. She was selected after a national search and offered the job on May 25. She has a bachelor's degree in economics and urban studies from Northwestern and a master's degree in public policy from the University of Chicago. The county board votes on the appointment Tuesday.
