Aurora police searching for man who robbed pizza delivery driver

Aurora police are searching for the person who allegedly robbed a pizza delivery driver late Sunday night on the 900 block of North Ave.

The victim, a 28-year-old from Yorkville, had just made a delivery and was returning to his car when he was approached by a man who had exited a white sedan, according to the Aurora Police Facebook page. The man pulled out a handgun and demanded the victim's money. The delivery driver handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect walked back to his car.

The man with the gun was described by the victim as being a black man who looked to be around 30 years old. The man was around 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighed around 185 pounds. The man had short black hair, brown eyes, a short trimmed beard and was wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt and dark gray sweatpants.

The Aurora Police announced on their Facebook page that anyone who has information about the crime should call them at (630) 256-5500 or Crime Stoppers at (630) 892-1000.
