Mother's Day in Lombard's Lilacia Park

Despite overcast skies and cool temperatures, Lombard's Lilacia Park made for the perfect venue to celebrate Mother's Day for those who didn't mind a little extra effort to keep warm.

Families strolled along the paths, smelled the lilacs and took in the tulip gardens, while stopping along the way to take photos of kids with mom and grandma.

Others spent part of the afternoon at the free Mother's Day Concert in Lilacia Park. Brass from the Past performed music from the '60s, '70s and '80, with Motown, R&B, funk and soul.
