No one injured in Dist. 15 school bus crash

No one was injured in a crash between a Palatine Township Elementary School District 15 school bus and an adult on a bicycle near Hunting Ridge Elementary around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Morgan Delack, District 15 spokeswoman, said the bus was heading east on Illinois Avenue and was turning right onto Quentin Road when the crash happened.

None of the children on the bus were harmed, according to Delack. The bicycle rider was released from the scene.

Delack said they notified all the parents of the students on the bus via text message that there had been a crash and that the children would be delayed. She said at 4:30 p.m. that the plan was for the bus to head back to Hunting Ridge so the children could have a rest stop break before resuming their route home.
